Research

The department has a strong record in neuro-otology and lateral skull base surgery, hearing and cochlear implantation — vestibular schwannoma and NF2 outcomes, implantable hearing devices and auditory brainstem implants — conducted at St Vincent’s and with the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, and in head and neck oncology and robotic surgery with The Kinghorn Cancer Centre.

Rhinology and skull base research, including the national mepolizumab registry for CRSwNP and trials in nasal airflow and inflammatory airway disease, is published through the Sydney Rhinology Group. Research profiles for each surgeon are listed below and linked from their page.
